Megabus Software is an Australian business unit of Constellation Software Inc. via its operating group Friedman Corporation. Megabus designs, builds, implements, and supports its suite of vertically aligned software products for the aftermarket Tyre and Automotive segment. The Marlin Blue product suite covers the vertical needs of Accounting / General Ledger, Procurement & Inventory Management, Point of Sale, CRM, Fleet Management, Data integration services, BI Reporting, and e-commerce (B2B, B2C).
The Position
Join a mature company that is building a new team to support the rapid development of new features in an emerging ERP System that is in global demand. This application is a cloud-based Backend with API’s for a Thin Java Client, and also Mobile Applications for users not using a desktop. We are seeking a
Senior Software Developer
who will report to the team lead.
The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Karachi resource centre office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Skills & Experience
Desired Skills
- Java 3-4 years’ experience
- Spring
- Hibernate
- SQL and Relational Database Design
- Source Version Control and Continuous Integration
- Burning desire to produce clear and understandable code for others to work with in the future
- Experience with Business application software and transaction workflows
- Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
- BIRT Reporting Framework
- Java Swing
- Restful API Development
- Interacting with external party Web Services using different technologies and serialisations (SOAP, Rest etc.)
- Experience and understanding of AWS platforms and technologies
- Experience with Business application software and transaction workflows

- Experience with PostgreSQL
Working hours:
6 AM to 3 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
