Contour Internship – Software Developer

ASPEN is an affordable, Microsoft-based Business Management System used by hundreds of equipment dealers across North America to better run their business and positively impact their bottom line.

The Position

We are looking to hire a

Sr. Software Developer

who will be working on Windows Desktop software connecting to our cloud-based equipment Dealership Management System. The role will include implementation of front desk desktop UIs and ASP.net based service backends (REST, SOAP, & gRPC Protocol Buffers)

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Lahore resource centre, as an extension of the division-based R&D department and will require to work

between 9 am to 6 pm ET hours (6 PM 3 AM Pakistan Time) for 1 st year at least.

Required Competencies

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related disciplines
• 5+ years of experience in developing Windows Desktop applications using Microsoft .NET technologies
• 5+ years of strong experience working with Web Services in .NET including SOAP and REST
• Sound understanding of parallels and concurrent execution models using multi-threading and async/await
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to understand and implement complex business requirements.
• 1-year of Experience working with RESTful web services, including an understanding of the main tenets of what makes a service RESTful.
• Prior experience working in an Agile development environment
• Degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Preferrable

• WinForms, WPF
• ASP.net core web API
• SOAP web services (ASMX/WCF)
• .NET Core 3.1, .NET 5, .NET 6
• Mobile development experience in C# via Xamarin an asset but not required.
