The Role – IT Service Management Senior Specialist
The Team
You will join a team dedicated to protecting the services and reputation of all products under Market Intelligence. With a plethora of technologies running on a multitude of platforms across datacentres from traditional DC’s to cloud native you will be exposed to it all. The team actively work on managing incidents, running weekly change cabs, investigating previous incidents and identifying areas of improvement to minimise future events. Team members are given the opportunity perform data analysis and reporting along with presenting their findings to service owners.

Within the S&P Global Market Intelligence organization, this position gives the individual an opportunity to deliver an improved and streamlined inc/prb/chg across the Division. We believe that where these 3 roles traditionally would have been separate, they actually have a cyclic dependency on each other, and so we are looking for colleagues who have experience in one, but willing to master all 3. The individual will have constant interaction with managers and developers across the hundreds of MI products, MI’s dedicated Technology Core team of Engineers and Specialists along with our DTS partners. Every day will present a different challenge and give you the opportunity to consistently push your technical and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
Running incident management calls, driving technical teams across multiple disciplines, technologies and business to rapidly resolve issues
Compose articulate and technically accurate updates for the incident be able to accurately represent the business impact.
Actively participate in change and problem calls to ensure ‘out of the box’ thinking and partnership from all parties to improve quality.
Understand and report key metrics to business lines to allow them to identify gaps and where they need to invest to reduce failures.
What Are We Looking For
Minimum of 4 years experience in an ITSM or infrastructure related role
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
Be able to simultaneously engage a variety of individuals, building strong relationships and encourage robust discussions.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
Have an appreciation of technical infrastructure from traditional 3 tier architecture to cloud native.
