A U.S.-based company that is working to simplify the usage of investment data as it develops an SDK for investment research, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be helping customers to comprehend, extract, and properly use the company’s SDK for their back-testing models. The company’s software development kit for investment research streamlines investment data through data extraction, factor research, and model deployment. This will be a full-time opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Help customers with the SQL code database installation procedure as well as the mdodata R or Python package installation
- Respond to customer inquiries about content and data capabilities, do research, develop scripts, and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with internal and external parties, including vendors, to find solutions
- Create and maintain relationships with current clients through instruction, client meetings, and assistance with the implementation
- Meet with potential clients, collect product and integration requirements, highlight various features of the platform, and help onboard new clients
- Support analysts, researchers, and quants at the biggest and most renowned banks, hedge funds, and investment businesses in the world directly with trained customer service
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Demonstrable experience working with Python and MySQL Server
- Extensive experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, and R
- Prolific understanding and experience with FinTech
- Financial data technology expertise, such as with QA Direct, Xpressfeed, or FactSet data, is desirable
- Confident using phone and email to contact clients
- Must possess a sincere zeal for handling financial data and solving problems
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
