A US-based company that has created a famous content-sharing platform is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing best-in-class tooling for platform moderators. The company is developing the next-generation video surface, as well as brand-new creation tools and a home for creators. This role requires an overlap of 4-5 hours with the PT timezone. The company has managed to successfully raise close to $1.5 bn in funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally and across teams to implement technical and business objectives and create intuitive user experiences
- Design architectures and build components that deliver quick, seamless experiences to people globally
- Participate in all phases of development, including technical planning, design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
- Review code and design documentation, and comment on product specifications and mockups
- Lead a group of intelligent, nimble, and spirited engineers
- Establish and specify requirements that enhance development processes, and suggest best practices
- Assist the engineers in the team with coaching and mentoring to advance their careers
- Keep learning and developing both your technical and non-technical skills
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a mobile engineer
- Expertise in Java or Kotlin
- Sound software engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of building data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps in the constrained environment of a smartphone
- Willingness to learn new ways to build software
- Proficiency in building an Android app from start to finish
- Expertise in building high-performance feeds-based or media-rich Android apps is nice to have
- Proficiency in English
