The engineer will be in charge of building, configuring, and maintaining in-house APIs to help streamline engineering efforts and manage infrastructure across the company. The company helps enterprises seamlessly integrate, increase productivity through automation, and create branded digital experiences, without having to write a single line of code. As of now, this company has managed to raise over $360mn in its Series C round of funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Automate and enhance engineering processes and services
- Work toward achieving high availability, scalability, security, resilience, and cost optimization in AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Scale existing systems and help them evolve by bridging new innovations and tackling barriers
- Monitor the company’s essential cloud infrastructure and develop tools for deployment
- Work with Ansible and Terraform to define everything as code
- Establish and ensure follow-through on best practices relevant to security, automation, scalability, and high availability
- Build software release and deployment processes/infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the company to analyze and understand services and requirements
- Translate requirements into achievable solutions
- Partake in product road-mapping, sprint planning, and stand-ups
- Conduct and practice sustainable blameless postmortems and incident response
- Create and maintain documentation across projects
- Establish a clear line of communication with superiors on the Cloud Infrastructure team
- Uphold the company’s values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Previous experience (3+ years) developing cloud infrastructure at a large-scale
- Demonstrable experience (3+ years) architecting Cloud services within any of AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
- Skills within containers, specifically Kubernetes or Nomad in production
- Deep comprehension of Ansible & Terraform
- Previous understanding of networking and modern web services architectures
- Understanding of an always-up, always-available service and relevant best practices as well as IT operations
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration
- Thorough understanding of security auditing and related best practices
- Familiarity with Agile processes
- Great English communication skills
