A fast-growing company that is on a mission to revolutionize the biotechnology industry with their innovative no-code programming language, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for web application development, design, and implementation in a dynamic SaaS product environment. The company is developing an IDE with principles for code reviews, approvals, and criteria for producing pharmaceutical recipes and processes. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strong ability to write clear and precise code using technologies like Angular 6+, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Express.js, Nest.js, and others
- Become a productive individual contributor working in cross-functional teams with the product- and business-minded engineers at various stages of a project’s life cycle
- Ensure timelines for projects are constantly met or exceeded
- Any technical concerns should be addressed and resolved, and prompt creative solutions must be provided
- Engage in technical and cross-functional group conversations with product leadership and developers with little to no supervision
- Develop succinct and understandable technical design papers based on analytics of technical business needs to deliver both projects and support jobs in a cross-functional, time-sensitive context
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
- Extensive experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js, and MongoDB
- Familiarity with AWS and Docker is nice to have
- Prior Testing experience is desirable
- Nice to have some experience using microservices
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
