A US-based company developing a platform that enables law enforcement agencies to improve the efficiency and openness of their off-duty operations is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be partnering with product owners to develop and release products while working in an agile environment. The company assists law enforcement organizations in streamlining their processes and collaborating with the local community, making it easier to respond to client demands and communicate effectively. The company has managed to raise $1.3mn+ in funding so far.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute and maintain the ecosystem of software solutions for multiple end-users
- Meet the internal and industry standards, maintain existing solutions, and assist in modernizing legacy code
- Work with a rapidly growing diverse team to develop new features online while also continuing to improve and innovate in a dynamic environment
- Utilize a mix of modern JS frameworks, including React and Vue, while mobile applications are built using React Native
- Build, implement and maintain software solutions to meet regular business and customer needs
- Participate in the team code review process to ensure code meets internal best practices
- Convert initial UI/UX designs into functional prototypes to solve user problems
- Flexibility to work both in team collaborations and independently with minimal guidance
- Take accountability and drive individual projects to completion
- Help test feature implementation to ensure they meet initial requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of 3+ years experience with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Awareness of current front-end development standards, including Accessibility,
- Experience with responsiveness, Performance, and UX is preferred
- Solid experience and understanding of core modern JS and frameworks (React.js, Vue)
- Knowledge of or experience with modern E2E testing frameworks such as Cypress
- Familiarity with common development tools such as Git for version control, Webpack, and Yarn/NPM
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing JIRA for task management
- Eagerness to jump in and actively contribute to improving a growing product
- Fluent in verbal and written English
