A U.S.-based company that is working to develop the first consolidated, data-backed music licensing platform is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer. The engineer will be working on all areas of application development using a wide range of technologies. The company makes it possible for marketers, agencies, artists, and labels to exchange music fairly. The company has managed to secure more than $100mn during their Series D round of funding. This position requires 8+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to improving the system and creating a better platform for a superior user experience
- Oversee and improve the applications’ performance
- Utilize a realistic agile approach to work toward a high-quality end-to-end delivery
- Maintain scalable, reliable software design patterns by performing code reviews
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- 4+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails
- Extensive experience working with AWS or Heroku
- Strong working knowledge of either GraphQL or REST APIs
- Nice to have some knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience working with C#/ASP.NET core is desirable
- Excellent English communication skills
